Stucky Ltd is a leading engineering and design company specialized in the dam and hydropower engineering and energy sectors since its foundation in 1926. In 2013, Stucky became a member of the Gruner Group (established in 1862), the largest infrastructure consultancy in Switzerland, with over 1’000 engineers and specialised staff.

Stucky Balkans
Stucky has been active in the Balkans since 2004 with numerous projects ongoing or recently carried out in Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia and Albania. Stucky Balkans was established in Serbia in 2010 thus reinforcing Stucky’s commitment to the Balkans region. With a team of specialized Serbian engineers supported by international experts based in Switzerland we are able to provide a top class service in every aspect of infrastructure, hydraulics, and river engineering, from preliminary design to works supervision, including construction drawings and as built drawings.
Technical and managerial organisation
Stucky’s internal structure is project oriented: the organization is not arranged according to “business units” or “profit centres”, but human resources are structured in terms of project management and specialised staff are specifically assigned to one or several projects.

Stucky’s QESS management policy takes into the following account five domains: Management, Human Resources, Logistics, Services and Measures, Analyses and Improvements
Stucky’s certified Quality Control System makes it compulsory for every project to implement a Quality Management System and a Project Technical Committee (PTC). One of the main objectives is to ensure the best quality and prevent major errors, especially when complicated, multidisciplinary or interconnected issues are at stake, and to promote the exchange of ideas and experience between the engineers working on the project and with other experts.
Beneficial Ownership
Stucky Ltd is an unlisted company, 100% independent and owned by Gruner Development AG:
- 70% of the Capital Shares of Gruner Development AG is owned by Gruner AG (Shareholders: the Families of the founders and the Company Engineers and Management;
- 30% of the Capital Shares of Gruner Development AG is owned by natural/individual people, none of whom are in possession of 25% or more of the Capital Shares of the mentioned legal person.
